MVP

Since the Stankoniforous One tries to bring real-time news, the possibility of MVPs got S.O to thinking. Even if there isn’t one formally given, S-dot will crown you in cyberspace.

Offensive MVP seems to be a closed case.

Jason. He has been nominated by two highly ranked SOPR members. He has gone most of the season without his full complement of talent. At times his team has resembled a Vietnam era MASH unit. Most importantly the ball is in his hands an overwhelming percentage of time. Individually he is doing what some teams are tryin to do, run to set up the pass or vice versa. At this point, that’s all that needs to be mentioned.

Defensive MVP is up for grabs. These players will not be ranked. Think of it like a short list of Supreme Court nominees. Everyone mentioned is under consideration but only one person gets the position.

Gene aka the Beast. He has to be on any Def MVP short list. HAS TO BE! The man REQUIRES a double team, and that is elite company. He seems to go through blockers like a hot knife through cold butter.

Ty. He has flown under the radar but is every bit as physical as the Beast. Mr. Look-alike has also drawn his far share of doubles. Best of all he hasn't "turned it on" yet.

All black clad Maddawg D-lineman. Has quietly become a mini-Gene. S.O has heard players say he is MORE dominant than the Beast himself.

Radar. He seems to be magnetically drawn to deep balls. Probably has more INTs than some teams have TDs.

Ron. His play at safety has been phenomenal. S.O particularly likes when Ron predicts the next pass will be picked off and then makes it so.

Note: S.O is aware that a certain LB has been left off the short list, for good reason. The Stankoniforous One wouldn't want to force this player to be subject to "that much gratification."
