Ali…what can you say about him? Well, according to some he is the creator of the wounded duck QB-style (patent pending) to others, namely his teammates, he is what makes Conquest go.
While some will argue it’s the Conquest system and not the QB, Ali arrives ready to play every Saturday. It would be easy to attribute their success to the system, but Ali clearly has the confidence of his teammates. It is rumored that Alge was one of the more vocal members of the Tribe awaiting Ali’s return.
Ali was rumored, according to Conquest personnel, to be in Paris attending to a mistress (and missing the first three weeks of the season) in addition to his regular job duties. Whether or not this is true is of no consequence because the Stankoniforous One does not indulge in idle gossip.
Ali returned and was promptly thrown into the fire. He faltered in his returning start but bounced back wondrously the next week. S.O thinks the Quest[ion] GM took S-dot’s advice and stuck with one person as QB.
Ali, originally a Maddawg, was removed from that team by none other than the Mastiff himself, during the heyday of his cutting powers. The alleged offenses? A summer sabbatical (mostly likely to see his alleged Parisian mistress), arriving to pickup games late or not at all, and insubordination (according to the Madcap!).
After some time in the pickup peon wilderness, Ali co-founded Conquest (along with Theo and WB). Preseason was rough going for this unit but they did punctuate their flash of greatness with a win over the Maddawgs (during the pre-injury-Dustin and the pre-defection of Mike D days).
Whether or not Ali was instrumental in the draft remains a mystery, but Conquest acquired enough talent to become one of the elite powers of Novaffl. The only question that remains is can Ali thrust himself into one of the elite QB's of Novaffl? Well the playoffs are coming, where legends are made.
