SOPR TE's

The Stankoniforous One told ya’ll be on standby for the TEs. Here it is! The SOPR TE's

#1 Alge. Dubbed Alge by some Nova vet, the name stuck. He is a QB’s ultimate safety valve/check down/security blanket. Alge may not possess the breakaway speed but his hands are second to none. Providing highlight-reel grabs, Alge just may have the best hands in Novaffl. S.O has yet to see Alge jammed at the line or anyone large enough to attempt it. Alge also seems to possess that quality that most big men in Novaffl have, unreal mobility.

#2 Groverb, Andy. The two headed Maddawg TE monster. One is pure TE, the other has WR speed. One blocks in the trenches and then releases, the other is in the slot, a la Dallas Clark. It’s like one Pro Bowl-caliber TE skill set was split into two people, to devastating results. One thing they share in common is great hands.

#4 Hawks’ TE. Some have called him the fastest player in Novaffl. He is the crucial cog in the Hawks offense machine, and has incorporated himself nicely into the Hawks offensive plan. Because the Hawks have the multiple option running offense, keying in on the TE is a difficult proposition. Having to play run gaps leaves him time to get open, and his speed allows him to separate. Probably the best kept secret of the Hawks’ offense.

#5 Coach D, Del, UD and Candles respectively. S.O couldn’t decide which was the clear cut #5. Del is the fastest big man in Novaffl. Coach D is a WR stuck in a TE’s body. Both possess cotton ball soft hands and both are familiar with the endzone. If the Stankoniforous One was forced to pick (which S-dot is not) the Stankoniforous One would have Del as the sole player at #5.

#7, #8 Cut up Crew’s dual TEs. This may be one of the best kept secrets of Novaffl, the Cut up Crew have two quality TEs. One has since moved positions out of necessity. The other continues to run decoy routes, for some odd reason. As a tandem, they are the second best of Novaffl.

#9 Mike D, Candles formerly of the FGs, formerly of the Maddawgs. It would seem that Mike D’s fall this far could be chalked up to underutilization in the FG offense. Mike D was stuck on the O line playin out of position. Remember S.O has been watchin some players since preseason, and Mike D did not break out during preseason when he was a member of the Maddawgs.

On a positive note, Mike D is a reliable short to medium range TE. Don’t expect him to go on out routes but he is good for routes underneath the LB or between the safety and LB.

There is no #10 because there aren’t that many clear TEs in this league. Most other players are somewhere between WR and TE.
