Mcgrath, or Umpa has really been around the league since March or April 2006, back in the day Madcap would sneak Rickstraw and Mcgrath into Arlington Recreation Center where they would all play basketball for a nominal amount. This was before football really took off. In either case, due to the cult of personality that would soon develop, the whole concept of "Nova Hoops" was temporarily to be delayed until April of 2007.

Mcgrath first made his appearance as a Quarterback in the chaotic Pentagon City football Crew as one of the 90% of all you motherfuckers are, a Madcap recruit. He played pretty well, showing his capability to scramble and get the ball over some of the taller players. In fact I recall a time where Mcgrath threaded the needle to a then WR Madcap to burn Dustin for a TD.

All in all, you all knew it was coming, Mcgrath has a damn mouth on him. When he first showed up he tried to usurp the tried and hard fast ways of disorganized gorilla ball. He would interject changes in rules, at times when no one thought he earned his street credentials for attendance. Later, the same occurred when the Pentagon City Crew merged with the Alexandria crew. At first D12 and others despised the Mcgrath. But after awhile and presently, people truly respect his organizational skills, capabilities as a leader (A fuckin Masters degree) ability to get open on the WR out play especially as a slot receiver on the right and surprisingly good hands for a Cutter. In short, this league has been strengthened by his forum posts, thoughts and contributions.

Of interesting note, the mcgrath is one of the few who has keen insight on who the Madcap is, and although he falls out of favor with the villain we know as the Black Mastiff, he currently holds a soldier's position on the infamous Nightdawgs.
