Week 6

Stankoniforous [Stan-koh-ni-foh-rus] One glanced at the week 6 schedule and there is a full plate of games: No-Namers-Quest, Maddawgs-Hawks, Maddawgs-Quest, No-Namers- Cutters!! This is the real separation Saturday. For every team there are some questions. Can the No-Namers continue their China-like rise? Are Quest elite or pretenders? Can the Maddawgs go without their full arsenal? Can the Cutters win without all their usual suspects? Has the Hawks’ signal caller shaken the week 5 misstep?

S-dot sees many parallels between the No-Namers and China. Both were strong a time ago, both have risen recently, both have proclaimed nothing but good intentions, and both have shown outright aggression recently, with the No-Namers’ muzzling of the Maddawgs and China’s satellite missile test. S.O did notice some No-Namer personnel who appeared injured, namely Gene aka the Beast.

On a side note, one battle S.O will watch is Rum vs. Gene, Gene vs Rum. Can you say must see TV! The preeminent O/D- linemen of our era goin head-to-head! Pass me a ventilator! This is like Ali vs. Frazier, Magic vs. Bird, Brady vs. Manning, UNC vs. Duke, Michigan vs. O-State, Oklahoma vs. Texas, UCLA vs. USC, North vs. South, Tupac vs. BIG, Ken vs. Ryu, Skeletor vs. He-Man, Optimus Prime vs. Megatron; instant classic.

S.O is still sleepin on Quest[?], specifically the switchin QBs. What’s the deal with that? There is a reason the NFL has backup QBs. I will give a college example, Steve Spurrier had QBs switch on every play at UF a few years back, and that team wasn’t good that season. One man has to be the man.

Personally, S.O would have switched at half against the Cutters, and S-dot expects Quest[?] to say but we drove deep into the red zone and almost scored. S-dot says almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. If the Quest[?] GM is more worried about feelings than wins, then the focus is off. The Stankoniforous One already said that politics wins elections not football games.

For the Maddawgs, aka Doggystyle, they were doggystyle’d last week by the No-Namers, but they did have a big contributor go down due to injury. Pilot Ron, or Shake n Bake whichever you go by, can you put the offense on your shoulders and carry them to some wins this week? Maddawgs personnel keep sayin you are the most underrated QB in Novaffl. This week is your chance to prove it’s not the system it’s the QB. Go big or go home.

For the Cutters, many of their key personnel are AWOL…actually absent, away, not here, whatever. Can the Cut up Crew continue their winning ways?

For the Hawks and the Hawks-Cutters aftermath, S.O turns to the NBA. The Blazers-Lakers a few years back. The winner took off and the loser fell into a malaise that they never recovered from. Will history repeat itself in Novaffl? Stay tuned.
