Team Spotlight: Flying high on Saturdays

The biggest surpise on the winning side of things this season has to be the Briscoe High Hawks. Before the season began, no one knew anything about these guys and now not much has changed except it's become obvious that they know how to win. No one knows their names, they don't fill the league's blog site with trash talk, and they don't stay to play pickup games after league games. Pausing a moment for a team picture was about the extent of the Hawks' interaction with the league other than during actual games.

Even though the team is still a bit of a mystery, their organized play shows that the only names important to them are the names of their efficient plays. After losing their first game to the 16 Candles while looking like rookies, this team has been on a roll and the other teams in the league quickly took note of it. An upcoming game against the Cutters will complete the first half of the Hawks' schedule and help determine if they are the number one team in the league. Regardless of the outcome of that game, this team has proven they are one of Novaffl's best in it's initial season.
