Recently, the player we know as Lucian has decided to go back to organizing the pickup squads. Undeniably, you have to commend each and every way Lucian actually supports the lifeblood of this league based on his tenure and flag toting ways. There really is not one player, who actually has more seniority to Lucian, and a quick gander at his disjointed fingers will prove to you that he is a flag football veteran to the core of his Asian-Pacifico-Koreano roots.
Many of you may not like Lucian's posts. yes, he tends to put gay pictures in sometimes, i.e Napoleon Dynamite or Michael Jackson, and sometimes he doesn't respond logically to posts. Case in point was one post, by the recently deceased Nickem.net (a former flag football player) who move to San Diego in October 06. Well true to form, Lucian actually responded to the post in December, thinking it was brand new. I mean seriously, its the eccentric nature of Lucian that drew the ire of Madcap this past fall when he consistently screwed up everyone's names. It got to the point where someone named Thomas would be 'summarily' Lucian coined: "Peter" or someone named Steven was Lucian coined,"The Hard Drive" Real weird shit, if you ask me, but interesting nonetheless. At one point I decided to delete all of Lucian's posts, because they were utter nonsense.
This was about the time Jason cut out my forum editing privileges and in retrospect it probably was the right move. Lucian has way too much "street credentials" for anyone to screw with his posts. So I say to all of you who have problems with his comments or Torretz syndrome like idiocies, deal with it, he is a staple and icon in Novaffl and will always be that way. Moreover he will always have a voice in this league, albeit from planet Cuckoo, as long as I'm concerned. Finally, during the Summer of 06 when madcap had league cutting powers, he was one of the more vocal opponents against my screening of new players. The email traffic was hilarious, and if my fellow blog writers post it, I hope you will absorb some of the Lucian comedy.
As far as his playing skills, Lucian is actually one of the better flag pullers, and defenders in the league. What also shows his integrity, is his willingness to play all sides of the ball except QB. I look forward to the day to see an awkward Luc throw the ball to a Nova veteran. In addition he is known for getting open under the middle for some substantial gains. In fair tradition to novaffl, I would appreciate if everyone coins a different name for Lucian and post it either in the forum at novaffl.com or, call him it in person. This will solidify the Loquacious Lucian themes our league was founded on.
