S.O has been monitoring the forums of Novaffl, and based on his years of education has come to a conclusion: teams are doing there best to dodge certain teams come playoff time.
The Stankoniforous One has concluded that for the 4 top teams the playoffs are a foregone conclusion. There only issue is who they will see come playoff time. At the midpoint of the season, the Hawks and the Cutters would be 1-2. Because of the mystery surrounding the Hawks, drawing them early would not be to a team's fortune. Most of Novaffl has clashed with the Cutters enough to know what works and what does not, but does not make the Cutters any easier to beat.
S-dot also thinks some teams are tryin to talk themselves into higher seeding or victories come playoff time. The Stankoniforous One has seen alot of football, and talking has never improved your record or won a game in his recollection.
In S-dot's humble opinion the teams that are struggling are the most dangerous. According to Sun Tzu, you are at your strongest when your opponent thinks you are weak. My advice is when your man is down, kick him to make sure he doesn't get back up.
The most worrisome is the team that is at equilibrium. If your team is underperforming, you would know some improvement is necessary. If your team is good, then being mindful of overconfidence would be your goal.
To the team with no wins, if all else fails, play all out defense. Make teams remember when they had to play you. Winning isn't everything, but it sure helps.
