The Stankoniforous One gazed into the crystal ball to see what NOVA has in store for Fall 2007.
The league will grow, like a well fed infant. There are only 10 teams the first go round, S-dot O expects more for the second season. In line with the teams increasing, there will be more talent in ’07. Every team has some gamebreakers, yes even the Ex’s have a shifty player who a certain player said needs to demand a trade, but expect the skill level to rise exponentially (that means really fast). S.O has been presently surprised about the turn out even during bad weather. S.O hopes to see that trend continue, remember we don’t live in
The Stankoniforous One also expects some player movement. Gene aka the Beast is expected to be a widely sought after free agent once the season is over. Paradoxically, offensive/defensive linemen will be the darlings of free agency, bet on it. Expect Gene’s contract to stipulate a late clause so he can show up when he wants to.
The Stankoniforous One expects a certain player to defect from the Field Generals for personal reasons, according to my sources. The Stankoniforous One is not one to deal in baseless speculation.
The Stankoniforous One also sees the rules firming up even more. There have been adjustments during this season, but S.O thinks more in-game situations will be resolved before kickoff 07. Intentional grounding is coming on line this Saturday. A note to QB’s: throw it away not in the dirt.
The Stankoniforous One also sees teams reaching for that edge, *cough* ringer *cough* to help them win. Don’t be surprised to see former D1 and some semi-pros out there. All S-dot O has to say to those new players is don’t sleep on the players out here or you will find yourself gettin burnt and then clowned in the Novaffl forum with regularity.
